Bonsai Workshops

We have two styles of workshop:
Black & Red Pine
Refresher & Beginner Half Day

Black Pine and Red Pine Workshops

Megumi holds black and red pine workshops four times a year. In each season we use different techniques to create short needles. These techniques were developed in Japan over many years. Classes are practical and include pruning, wiring, styling and repotting.

Please bring 1 of your own trees to work on, or get advice from the teacher before class if you wish to purchase trees from the nursery.

Cost:

$50 (including GST) - per 2.5 hour session
$80 (including GST) - per 4 hour session
Tuition fees do not include material used.

Refresher & Beginner Workshops

Enjoy the wonderful relaxing art of bonsai. Learn with professionals. This workshop is designed for people...

  1. Who are interested in learning bonsai and have never grown bonsai before.
  2. Who have been growing bonsai, but are not sure what to do next.
  3. We create one bonsai. You will be able to purchase materials from our nursery and teachers will guide you through the necessary steps.

Cost:

$40 (including GST) - per 2.5 hour session
$70 (including GST) - per 4 hour session
